Rapid growth in Global Electronic Markets' business has created a number of job openings at GEM. Some current openings include:

GUI Developer

Required skills and experience include:

  • Java, XSLT, HTML, and JavaScript
  • AJAX development
  • Exposure to SQL and database development.
  • Two or more years of experience in the OTC derivatives industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently.
  • University level education.

Location: New York City/Boston area preferred.

This position will begin on a contract basis, and will appeal to individuals experienced as independent consultants.

Server Developer

Required skills and experience include:

  • Java, SQL, and XML.
  • Extensive experience with complex processing using recursive algorithms, parsing, tree data structures, etc..
  • Application server experience including Tomcat and BEA WebLogic.
  • Significant experience with SQL and database development and performance tuning, particularly using Oracle and Sybase.
  • Experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently.
  • University level education.

Location: New York City/Boston area preferred.

This position will begin on a contract basis, and will appeal to individuals experienced as independent consultants.

Customer support engineer

Required skills and experience include:

  • Three or more years of experience in the OTC derivatives industry.
  • Five years of experience in a client-facing role.
  • Knowledge of a variety of OTC derivative products.
  • Exposure to web-based financial applications.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently.
  • University level education.

Location: New York City/Boston area preferred.

This position will begin on a contract basis, and will appeal to individuals experienced as independent consultants.
